About  Mrs Gonzalez

I am originally from Ft Lauderdale, Florida, and moved to Texas in 2012. I earned a Bachelor of Fine Art in Photography from the University of Florida. I also completed post-bachelor work in Environmental Science from Florida International University. I worked in the Everglades with a team of scientists to discover, report and catalog various species of Lichen in southern Florida.

 

I have always been drawn to teaching roles and opportunities. I taught 6th grade science for 2 years in Austin, and I am entering my fourth year here at Cedar Valley. I feel very fortunate to teach at such a wonderful school, and to work with our awesome students and staff!

 

My husband and I have been married for almost 5 years, and he is a police officer. We have a daughter named Jolene.  We also have 2 cats, Tex and Josie, and 2 dogs named Daenerys and Stannis. In our spare time, we love to explore, hike, and go to the movies. We also love to travel. I am particularly fond of the pacific northwest, and the Florida Keys.
